What are some positive things about being Trans? [Serious replies only]
As a result of being trans, I have a deeper understanding of sociological issues surrounding gender than the population at large, and that it opened the door for me to have a greater understanding of things like racism, homophobia, classism, etc. Had I been born cis, I'd likely still be completely ignorant all these things, and that thought scares me a little. Being trans has deeply enriched my understanding of the world, the people in it, and how it works.

Having lost much of the privilege I had prior to transition, I now realize that I used to be ignorant of such privilege. I can better appreciate the privilege I have remaining (being white) and the difficulties faced by those people who are denied a variety of privileges and equality.I have a greater degree of empathy for others, what they go through, what they deal with, how they feel, the difficulties and obstacles they overcome and face.

It makes you a more creative, resourceful, and courageous person than you might be otherwise.

It’s easier to be faithful when *you* are the other woman (though I hope your empathy towards women would prevent you from cheating in the first place!).
